LANE 01 / THE OFFER
Price your whole lane sheet in one sitting
Upload a CSV or XLSX lane sheet, check its column mapping and review the prices before returning the shipper's original layout.
No lane sheet to hand? Run the sample file, the one already priced in this frame. Every lane-pricing product we checked keeps its output behind a sales call: five of them, side by side.

Real output from the sample file, computed by the same engine your upload runs through. Rates come from the sample quote history, never from a market average.
LANE 02 / THE TOOL
Price a lane sheet right now
No account, no card, no call. Your sheet is priced in this session and the numbers come from your own quote history.
1. Your lane sheet
CSV or XLSX, combined or separate city/state columns, up to 10MB
2. Your won-quote history
Optional. Origin, destination, equipment, the rate you won.
3. Or see it work first
A 59-lane mini-bid and a matching quote history, both invented for the demo. Runs the same engine your own file runs through.
LANE 03 / THE STAKES
What one more bid season on the old method costs
Everything below is something a freight broker said in public. Where a number appears, it is theirs, not ours.
100 to 300
loads per project
A brokerage moving 300 to 500 loads a month described creating them one at a time, because its TMS duplicates a single load per action.
r/FreightBrokers, linked in full below10
loads per batch
A reviewer at a small brokerage reported the batch builder in their TMS topping out at ten, and asked for the cap to be raised.
G2, linked in full belowabout 90%
of the working day
A broker handling 150 to 200 quotes a day said the quoting itself consumed most of the day, and asked for something that takes a list of lanes and gives pay figures back.
r/FreightBrokers, linked in full belowThese reports describe different jobs. Creating or duplicating loads belongs in a TMS; LaneBatch does not do that. LaneBatch helps prepare prices for lanes in an RFQ spreadsheet, using your own quote history and a reviewable export.
Whether that helps your team depends on your files, the quality of your history and the corrections you need. Compare the complete workflow with your current process, including preparation and review. The reports above do not establish savings for LaneBatch users.
LANE 04 / THE FREE PREVIEW
Here is exactly what your free preview shows
Instantly, the moment you upload. No email delay, no wait, no signup.
- 01How many lanes your uploaded sheet contains, and their estimated total value.
- 02One fully priced example row, computed from your own won-quote history and templates, never a market-average guess.
- 03The exact review-grid format the full priced sheet renders in, so you know what you are unlocking.
- A broker who never pays still walks away knowing the lane count, roughly what the sheet is worth, and whether the engine got a lane they already know the answer to right. That is the whole point of giving it away.

LANE 05 / THE METHOD
From upload to priced sheet in one sitting
Three steps. The longest one is you reading the numbers.
- STEP 01Takes about 2 minutes
You upload your lane sheet
CSV or XLSX, with city/state combined or in separate columns. LaneBatch reads your headers and the values under them and proposes a column mapping. Check the proposed mapping before relying on the prices.
- STEP 02Instant, in this session
Review prices and rows needing attention
Mileage is estimated automatically for each lane. The rate comes from your own won quotes, matched on the same lane first, the same state pair second, your own rate per mile third. No market average, no rate feed, no model.
- STEP 03Ready to send back the same sitting
You review and export
Override any rate or any mileage in the grid. Then export the completed sheet back in the shipper's original layout, with the prices written into the column they left empty.
The free preview shows one priced lane so you can see the engine works on your own data. If you want every row priced and the export file, the $199/mo plan unlocks the complete grid for this sheet and every RFQ sheet after it.
LANE 06 / WHAT BROKERS SAID
This product came out of complaints, not a roadmap
LaneBatch has no customers yet, so it has no testimonials. What it has is the public record it was built from, linked so you can read it yourself.
Six things brokers wrote in public, on r/FreightBrokers, in November and December 2025. Each is our summary of what they said, with a link to the post or comment itself, so their words stay where they wrote them. None of them are LaneBatch users and we have never spoken to any of them. Four of the six argue against this product being needed, and they are here for that reason. Three of those four are about bulk load CREATION, which ships in several systems already and is next door to what this does rather than the same thing. The fourth names a product that really does price freight automatically, and it is the last row.
r/FreightBrokers
A brokerage running 300 to 500 loads a month
9 December 2025
read it on r/FreightBrokersLikes the TMS it pays about $1,000 a month for, and says copying loads happens singly while the projects they take on run into the hundreds. A year of raised requests has produced nothing. They state the cost is not the objection, the return on it is.
The post this product came out of. It is a request for a better TMS, not for us.
Asks whether anything can take a list of pickup and delivery points and hand back truck pay for each one, on accounts needing 150 to 200 prices in a day, and says the work swallows nine tenths of their day.
A different thread, three weeks earlier, with no author in common with the one above.
r/FreightBrokers
A broker who already has the spreadsheet path
9 December 2025
read the reply on r/FreightBrokersAnswers that their TMS builds loads in bulk from a spreadsheet they upload, and is otherwise lukewarm about the product.
Against us, and precisely: bulk load CREATION from a spreadsheet already ships inside a large incumbent. It builds the loads. It does not price them.
r/FreightBrokers
A broker whose system mass-duplicates
9 December 2025
read the reply on r/FreightBrokersReplies that their own software does mass duplication, that it has mattered when it counted, and that it costs about the same $1,000 a month the first row is unhappy with.
Against us again, at the price point the complaint treats as the problem. Same axis as the row above: mass duplication of loads, not pricing of lanes.
r/FreightBrokers
A broker on a system with a ceiling
9 December 2025
read the reply on r/FreightBrokersNames another TMS that duplicates in bulk but stops around fifty at a time, priced by the modules taken and the monthly order count.
The honest version of the gap on this axis: bulk duplication is a ceiling in the incumbents, not an absence.
r/FreightBrokers
A broker answering the one above, naming a product
19 November 2025
read the reply on r/FreightBrokersNames Vooma as something new that worked for them, and says it took rates from the DAT and from internal data to work out a full-truckload rate. A second commenter in the same thread, two weeks later, says their company uses it too.
Against us, and this is the one that lands closest. It is a reply to the second row above, in the thread asking for exactly this job. Read off vooma.com on 17 August 2026, their quoting product works from the inbox: it scans email for quote requests, extracts the lane and prices it with the rate tools you already run. The difference worth your attention is the input and the source of the number. You hand LaneBatch a list and it prices from your own won quotes, with no market feed anywhere in it. Whether that is better depends on whether you trust the market or your own history, and we are not going to pretend that question has one answer.
Three findings from two other venues
Two are reviews of Quote Factory on Capterra, read again at source on 17 August 2026, and the third is a review of Descartes Aljex on G2. They are summaries for the same reason as the rows above, and each listing rather than each review is linked, because neither venue publishes a per-review address to point at. The G2 listing is linked as we recorded it: g2.com refuses automated readers, so unlike every other link on this page we could not re-open it today to check it still renders.
Capterra, 29 January 2025
A VP at an 11 to 50 employee brokerage, more than a year into using it, rates the product four out of five and enters exactly one drawback: it will not accept a shipment or order file at all.
read the reviews on CapterraCapterra, 30 January 2025
A director of operations at a 2 to 10 employee brokerage rates it five out of five and wants to set status and attach paperwork straight from the load list, instead of stepping into every load one by one.
read the reviews on CapterraG2, 16 March 2026
A reviewer at a small brokerage using Descartes Aljex says its batch builder stops at ten loads, and asks for each duplicated load to come out already carrying a per-load field so it does not have to be filled in afterwards. This is the ten-loads-a-batch figure quoted higher up the page.

LANE 07 / THE ARGUMENT
Why LaneBatch and not the tools that already do this
Several products price a lane list in bulk. What none of them does is let you buy it today without talking to anyone.
| Read off their own page | How you buy it | Published price | Time to first output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quote Factory | Published pricing, sales-led onboarding | $499/mo to 150 shipments, $999/mo to 300, quote above | Not published |
| Tabi Connect | Scheduled demo | Not published | Four to five weeks to implement, from their own FAQ |
| Rose Rocket | Scheduled demo | Starting at $2,080/mo | 90-day go-live, white-glove implementation |
| Descartes Aljex | Scheduled demo | $699/mo Essential, from $999/mo Professional, from $2,375/mo Enterprise, plus a one-time setup or implementation fee | 30 and 90-day Hypercare go-live sold as contract lines, plus a one-time implementation fee |
| S2Q Systems | Scheduled demo | Not published | Not published |
| Vooma | Scheduled demo. No signup and no buy-it-now path on their site. | Not published. There is no pricing page: /pricing answers 404 | Not published |
| LaneBatch | Self-serve. Card, then use it. | $199/mo flat, one tier | This browser session |
Vendor rows read off each vendor's own public pages on 7 August 2026. Five cells carry a later stamp, 17 August 2026: the three cells of the Vooma row, and the published price for Descartes Aljex and for Rose Rocket. Those two cells previously read “Not published” and that was wrong: both vendors publish a price on their own pricing page, and we have corrected it against us. Prices and implementation windows in this category change without announcement, so check them before you decide anything on the strength of this table.
What this table leaves out
Most of those products are whole transport management systems, or close to it. LaneBatch is one step: a lane sheet in, a priced lane sheet out. If what you actually need is a TMS, one of them is the right answer and this is not, and at three or four hundred lanes a month their implementation cost buys you things this will never do. Vooma is the exception and belongs in a different sentence: it is not a TMS, it prices freight, and it works from your inbox rather than from a list you hand it. If your quote requests arrive as email one at a time, that shape probably fits you better than this one does.
Why nobody has taken this price point
The published prices in that table run from $499 to $2,375 a month, and every one of them is sold with a person attached: sales-led onboarding at the bottom of the range, a scheduled demo everywhere else. That motion has to be paid for, and it cannot be paid for out of a $199 self-serve subscription. Dropping the demo is not a feature they forgot to build, it is a motion their pricing cannot support. That is the whole opening, and it closes the day one of them decides to sell a cheap tier direct.

LANE 09 / WHO BUILT IT
Built by one person, on purpose
Dario Verghi
Solo founder building narrow, self-serve tools for teams too small for a dedicated pricing or ops function.
LinkedInDario builds one narrow tool at a time, aimed at a specific job a small team is stuck doing by hand. LaneBatch came directly from freight brokers describing, in their own words, what it is like to price a multi-lane RFQ one load at a time while the batch tools available cap out before the project does.
He reviews the column mapping on every new customer's first upload personally, because spreadsheet layouts vary and getting that step right matters more than a polished demo. He has not worked in freight brokerage and does not claim to have: what is here came from reading what brokers wrote about their own tools, and the parts of it that are wrong will be wrong for that reason. Tell him and they get fixed the same week.
LANE 10 / THE FINE PRINT
Questions, including the awkward ones
Can I try the full export before subscribing?
Full trials are available by invitation from LeanAI Studio. An invitation opens the full grid and export until its stated expiry, without a card or automatic subscription. Enter the invitation code in the tool after uploading a sheet. Contact Dario to agree the scope of a trial before sharing business data.
Where do the numbers come from?
Your own won quotes, and nothing else. Upload a history file and LaneBatch takes the median rate per mile you actually won at, matched on the same lane first, the same state pair second, and your median for that equipment third. If you have no history file, you type your own rate per mile. There is deliberately no built-in default: a default would be a market average with the label filed off, and this tool does not have a market rate to offer you.
Is there any AI in the pricing?
No. The engine is arithmetic over your own numbers, so the same file with the same rates always produces the same grid, and every row tells you which rule priced it. There is no model call anywhere in the pricing path.
Does it push the quotes back into my TMS?
No, and this is not on a roadmap you should count on. Several TMS platforms in this category expose no open API at all, so the file is the round trip: your sheet goes in, the same sheet comes back with the prices in it. If the file is not enough for you, LaneBatch is the wrong tool and it is better that you know now.
How accurate is the mileage?
It is an estimate, and the site calls it one everywhere it appears. LaneBatch resolves each endpoint to a point on the map and applies a fixed road-circuity factor to the straight-line distance. That is close enough to price from on most lanes and it will be wrong on lanes where the road bends a long way around water or mountains. Every row's mileage is editable, and an edit re-prices that row only. If your rates are per mile and the miles have to be exact, use your own mileage figures.
What happens to my file?
It is sent to the LaneBatch server, priced in memory, and the response comes back. It is not written to a database, a blob store or a queue, and it is not used to train anything. The copy of it that persists across a checkout redirect sits in your own browser, not on the server. The full account is on the privacy page.
What if LaneBatch cannot read my spreadsheet?
It reads CSV, XLSX and XLS, and it scans the first fifteen rows for the real header, because bid sheets usually open with a title block. If it still gets your file wrong, send it to dario@leanaistudio.com. Layouts that break the reader are the most useful thing anyone can send right now.
What does the free preview actually give me?
The lane count, the estimated total value of the sheet, estimated miles on every lane, and one lane priced in full. The rates for the other lanes are computed on the server and stay there until the plan is active, which is why the grid shows a dash rather than a blurred number.
How many lanes can it handle?
The file limit is 10MB, which is several thousand lanes of a normal bid sheet. There is no lane cap and no volume metering: the price is $199 a month whether you price sixty lanes or six thousand.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from the Stripe billing portal, without emailing anyone. There is no minimum term and no setup fee. This is a validation-stage product from a one-person studio, and it is priced month to month for the same reason it has no contract: neither of us should be locked in while we find out whether it is worth it.
